REFLECTIONS

I was hoping for this to be an quick and easy series of photographs of window reflections.  However, as is typical with art, this became an entirely different animal as the series evolved.

As I was shooting, I loved the rustic, broken windows of the abandoned buildings, but was extremely unhappy with the reflections.  They were all too similar to each other.  After some consideration, I pulled the photos into photoshop, and created my own reflections by filling the widows with personal photos of friends and family, many taken with my iPhone over the years, and never intended for fine art usage.

The resulting photos became not only simulated window reflections, but a time for personal reflection on the important people in my life.
