This body of work is about a circumstance that affects many of us.  From the outside, we appear to be ridiculously happy.  We always smile.  Even in the face of dire circumstances, we continue to play the Glad Game, finding the positive in every situation.  We are Mary Fucking Sunshine.
 
But what the rest of the world doesn’t realize, is that just below the surface, we are anything but happy.  There are so many negative emotions festering just below the surface.  We are sad, depressed, angry.  We are bullied, walked over, unappreciated, and sometimes abused.  But still we wear a smile.  We are Mary Fucking Sunshine.
